Is your Fur Baby an escape artist? Help us return them to you by filling out a dog info form and email it to cbonham [at] valp.org along with a digital photograph of your pet. The form can also be obtained at the Valparaiso Police Department. This is a free service. We prefer to return them home to you instead of a visit to Doggie Jail where they are provided fresh water and food. If placed in Doggie Jail, you may be subject to a $35 fee plus $5 each additional day. If the owner can not be located within 72 hours, your pet will be transferred to PAWS in Ft Walton Beach.
Additionally, Valparaiso Code of Ordinances requires owners or custodians of dogs to exercise diligence and reasonable care to prevent their animals from leaving their premises. Repeat offenders are subject to fines.
