My Florida ACCESS
The ACCESS Florida Program helps to promote strong and economically self-sufficient communities by providing food, cash, and medical assistance to individuals and families on the road to economic recovery. ACCESS community partners provide a wide-range of services.
Fort Walton Beach Housing Authority
The Fort Walton Beach Housing Authority assists low-income individuals and families by providing housing units in either the public or private housing markets via Section 8 and Public Housing. Additional services offers programs and opportunities to promote economic enrichment and upward mobility to residents.
Florida Department of Elderly Affairs
The Florida Department of Elder Affairs provides most services through the state’s eleven Area Agencies on Aging and local service providers to deliver essential services to the elderly. One of the Department’s highest priorities is reducing the need to place many in nursing homes and other long-term care facilities.

The Okaloosa County School District serves approximately 30,000 students and operates thirty-three neighborhood public schools. Okaloosa County School District students consist of different ethnics and cultural groups, socio-economic levels, and various stages of academic achievement.
